Citizens’ House: The heart of the community
Vordingborg City Hall
Citizens’ House is the new City Hall in Vordingborg. The City Hall will be integrated with the job center and citizens’ service, making it into a coherent unit. Designed to accommodate both citizens and employees, the space features modern, adaptable workspaces and an open, welcoming atmosphere. Its central atrium, multifunctional rooms, and green initiatives reflect a forward-thinking, inclusive approach to urban development.
Mikael Smed, Mayor of VordingborgWe have emphasised architecture, economy, sustainability and coherence with the surroundings in the assessment. And then, of course, the gut feeling has to be right. With the winning proposal, we have a solid and realistic starting point, and I am sure it will be a great house for citizens and staff.
Søren Mølbak, Partner & CEO, PLHWe look forward to working on an exciting and welcoming city hall that invites citizens in and makes the democratic process visible. We have focused on creating a single, unified building – a well-functioning and functional unity that creates coherence and invites activity and life inside. A building that will not only serve as an administrative center for the municipality – but will also reach out into its context and give back to the city.
