Today, Tryg has its headquarters in Ballerup on a campus consisting of several buildings spread over a large area. As part of Tryg’s acquisition of Alka in 2018, and the integration of many new employees, PLH Arkitekter has helped to renovate and develop Building 6, which makes up one of four Tryg buildings in the area. The building accommodates 450 employees and covers 8,500 m², which has been renovated, rebuilt and entirely redecorated.

Compressed design and construction process
The renovation of the work areas has taken place after moving in. The project was carried out in close collaboration with the contractor, and in a compressed design and construction process of only four months.

Rebuilt with respect for the spirit of the building
The building was originally designed by Dall & Lindhardtsen and built in 1989 from solid materials. Much of the interior of the building has been taken out and rebuilt. PLH Arkitekter has revitalized Tryg’s “The living building” workplace concept with respect for the spirit of the building. At the same time, PLH Arkitekter has further developed the concept to suit Tryg’s future needs and visual style.

A modern workplace for Tryg
Traditional cell offices have been converted into open-plan offices with associated meeting rooms, copy rooms, kitchenettes, café areas and new bathroom facilities. Improved lighting provides brighter and better working conditions, and all in all, the place now appears as a modern workplace for Tryg.
