Connecting people, city and nature
Train station and transportation hub in Tallin
The "Ülemiste Leaf" project, inspired by Estonia's birch trees, aims to create a sustainable, iconic train station and transportation hub in Tallinn. It connects the city with the airport and integrates nature into the urban landscape. The design prioritises accessibility, eco-friendly materials, and a long lifespan, offering a landmark that blends public transport, green spaces, and city life for a seamless, modern experience. The proposal is one of three winning proposals submitted in the open, international design competition. All three proposals have moved on to the second phase of the competition where dialogue-based negotiations precede the final election of the proposal that will be realised.
