Summary

Rooted in place, elevated by design

Harboe tasked PLH with designing a visitor center that would embody their brand identity while connecting seamlessly to the harbour’s industrial charm and scenic backdrop. The goal was to create a space that combines functionality, local authenticity, and global appeal.

Strengthening identity through architecture

We identified the potential for a design that reflects Harboe’s dual focus on tradition and innovation. By drawing inspiration from the fjord's natural beauty and the site's industrial heritage, we aimed to craft a building that speaks to the brand’s values and deep roots in the local community.

A unified space for connection and experience

The visitor center consolidates reception, offices, an auditorium, and exhibition areas under a striking roofline that mirrors the fjord's movement. The façade facing the water creates a dynamic link between the existing industrial buildings and the harbour, offering an inspiring venue for meetings and events. A bespoke marketing wall in oak panels elegantly showcases Harboe’s extensive product range, highlighting the brewery’s status.
