Thorsbro waterworks officially inaugurated

The inauguration marks the culmination of more than five years of collaboration between PLH Arkitekter, HOFOR and the other parties in the project.

Five years of work came to a conclusion when the water production facility at Thorsbro was inaugurated on March 15th. The facility, owned by HOFOR and located near Ishøj, will supply soft water to citizens across four municipalities.

Senior project lead Niels Peter Rosendal of PLH was one of the specialists giving a tour of the new plant to the attendees at the inauguration. Afterwards, he emphasized the continuity and the good collaboration with HOFOR and the other consultants.

"I've been involved from the start in 2018 to delivery in 2024, and we've been a cohesive team throughout. It's rare to see such continuity over such a long project, which is a testament to our great collaboration in the project team," he says.

PLH Arkitekter has been responsible for project planning and coordination - and during the process has published 1160 drawings and 780 pages worth of material.

The work does not end here, as PLH Arkitekter is involved in five other waterworks projects from HOFOR, namely the facilities at Gevninge, Søndersø, Regnemark, Islev, and Slangerup.
