DLG headquarters wins Office Building of the Year 2021

Nohrcon has just announced that the award for Office Building of the Year 2021 goes to DLG’s headquarters in Fredericia, Denmark.

The striking house with the unique silhouette was designed by PLH Arkitekter and opened its doors to employees and visitors last summer.

Partner at PLH Arkitekter, Søren Mølbak, is excited about the win, saying:

“As architects our ambition has been to create a building that is both modern and flexible, puts sustainability and employee wellbeing at the forefront and functions as an effective branding tool for DLG. With this house, we feel that we have succeeded in designing an iconic headquarters, which to a rare extent manages to communicate the organization’s legacy, values and soul while at the same time being a place where people love to work. Here, our architectural vision and extensive workplace design knowhow really came together. We are proud and honored by this award and happy that the employees at DLG have embraced their new building.”

The DLG headquarters has a distinct outline with three wings fanning out into the landscape. This creates space and flexibility for different ways of working through the office areas as well as light, air and rich views to every employee. Furthermore, the wings form a silhouette that resembles an ear of wheat – an appropriate symbolism for the Danish agribusiness.

The award for Office Building of the Year is presented by Nohrcon following a nomination from an expert jury and a public vote.
