UN Global Compact is the world’s biggest initiative for corporate social responsibility with more than 9.400 businesses committed globally. The international network was founded by The UN with the intention of involving private companies in resolving some of the major social and environmental challenges resulting from globalization. The Global Compact allows companies worldwide to take an active part in resolving these challenges.

The core values of The UN Global Compact are expressed in 10 principles based on international conventions on human rights, labour rights, environmental protection and combating corruption. By supporting the Global Compact, we are committed to translating the principles into practice so that they materialize in our daily actions, business culture and strategic planning. PLH will particularly focus on the environmental principles that are the focal point for our industry. The implementation of the principles in our core values is outlined in an annual report – COP (Communication on Progress) – which we publish, and thus provides the basis for the continued participation of PLH in The UN Global Compact.
