The former silo, which had previously functioned as a soya bean storage and pressing facility, is renovated to housing.
In total, 35 residential units of varying size are created. The conversion of the historic brick building focused on preserving the existing character as much as possible, and translating its inherent qualities into the new residential functions.
The dwellings are very regular in their design with large glazed windows that provide views of the harbour and neighbouring area. The new lightweight, open steel balconies emphasise the impression of the massive red “brick clump”.
