PLH is the design advisor on the project, which involves a wide range of civil works including the design of 7 new bridges and the widening of 9 existing bridges. PLH has developed a design manual for the infrastructure works, provided the architectural design for new bridges and underpasses, and designed custom solutions for extensions to underpasses, as well as support walls and the lighting concept for underpasses.

The extension is to be carried out in two phases. The first phase from Greve S to Solrød S was completed in 2015, and phase two from Solrød S to Køge is expected to be fully operational in the fall of 2018.
