PLH was awarded 1st prize in competition for the expansion of Gribskov Gymnasium, a high school in North Zealand. Together with the existing building, the expansion resulted in a coherent and cohesive educational facility, both functionally as well as architecturally. The building is designed in two stories and merges with existing building structures to create a new, distinctive main entrance.

The project includes two new wings of classrooms: a creative wing with classrooms for art and music faces north, whilst sciences are gathered in the west wing. The two wings meet in a double-height, sky-lit common area. The social studies and humanities departments are now consolidated in the existing building. A new area for faculty is centrally located in a building that links the two wings and opens to a courtyard.

The expansion also includes a new multi-functional hall, designed to form an inner courtyard at the school's new main entrance. The hall, principal’s office and other administrative areas also have separate entrances from the courtyard. The multi-hall, also known as the Gribskov Cultural Hall, serves as a venue for the local community’s cultural events as well as serving as the school's auditorium. The hall is suitable for conferences, theatre performances, concerts and lectures, and can accommodate approx. 400 seated spectators or standing room for 700.

PLH has developed the preliminary design proposal and the schematic and detail design.
