PLH has worked closely with Danske Bank Real Estate Facility Management in the development of a Global Workplace Concept that enables employees to live the ‘Essence’ and core values of Danske Bank, and respond to customer needs in an ever-changing global context.
The extensive new workplace program leverages the physical environment to become an active asset in the organizational development, and representation of the bank’s image, culture and brand.
PLH has had a close collaboration with the Real Estate Facility Management team to explore and develop new approaches and design guidelines for all aspects of the fitout of corporate offices, including building works, lighting, furniture, signage and accessories. The resulting Building Design Manual is a guideline that can be used worldwide for project development and execution.
As part of the process, PLH has undertaken several pilot projects in Denmark from 2015-2017, and also consulted in relation to projects in Helsinki and Vilnius.
The demonstrated case is for the pilot project for IT division in Ejby. Here, a core element of the new concept was created in the form of a Square as a central hub where employees and leaders can be accessible and collaborative in an effortless way. The entire space is flexible enough to hold “town hall” or department meetings. The pilot also includes a range of formal meeting rooms, quiet rooms, lockers and touch-down areas.
